We recommend booking flights and accommodations asap! The easiest way to reach Lake Como is by flying directly into Milan, Italy which has two major airports: - Milan Malpensa (MXP): largest international airport, 45 min to Como by car. - Milan Linate (LIN): smaller airport, 1 hour to Como by car.

FLYING TO ITALY

Once you land in Milan, you can choose what is most comfortable: - Car or Taxi: fastest and most convenient, you can either hail a taxi outside the airport or book one in advance with Uber for a ~45 minute ride. - Train from Milan Centrale Station: take the Malpensa Express Train to Milan Centrale (~50min) then transfer to a Trenitalia or Trenord train to Como Nord Lago or Como San Giovanni (~40min).

GETTING TO LAKE COMO

- By Car: taxis are limited--its best to prebook your rides by using apps like Uber or InTaxi. Plan to wait ~10-20 minutes for a taxi pickup if you call without pre-booking. - By Boat: this is the most charming way to travel between towns. Public ferries are quite affordable but private boat tours can be arranged for a more personal experience. - By Foot: Many villages like Cernobbio, Como and Bellagio are small and walkable with cobblestone streets and beautiful promenades.

GETTING AROUND LAKE COMO

We have a room block at the Hilton Lake Como which is a 5 minute walk to the welcome event and recovery brunch and we will be providing transportation to and from this hotel for the wedding day. If you do not prefer to stay at the Hilton, we suggest staying in Cernobbio or Como to stay close to the wedding event venues. There are many beautiful hotels and Airbnbs in the area.

STAYING IN LAKE COMO

Located right in the heart of Como, the Hilton is just a 5-minute walk to our Welcome Drinks, a 7-minute walk to our Recovery Brunch, and a 5 minute walk into Como town making it the easiest home base for all the festivities. On the wedding day, transportation to and from Villa Pizzo will depart directly from the hotel, so you can celebrate without worrying about logistics.

What is the dress code for the wedding day?- Black tie preferred, we'd love to see our guests dressed to the nines! Gentlemen are welcome in tuxedos or dark suits and ladies in floor-length dresses. We want everyone to look chic and feel good--slits, sparkle, statement details are more than welcome. (Please avoid wearing white or burgundy)- Ladies! Wear block heels as we will be outside on gravel and grass.

Will the celebrations be held outdoors?We’re hoping for beautiful weather so we can celebrate under the open sky! Both the ceremony and cocktail hour are planned to be outdoors.

How should we get to your wedding and where should we stay?- Cars are limited and can take a while to come if you don’t reserve one prior. Please stay tuned for guest transportation options on the wedding day.- For details on getting to Italy, please see the Travel tab!

Can I bring a plus-one?If your invitation includes a plus-one, we’d love for you to bring a guest! If not, we hope you’ll still join us solo—we’ll have plenty of fun and familiar faces.

Can I take photos during the ceremony? Please do not take ANY photos during the ceremony or share online before the couple has. We promise to share the professional photos afterward!

What will the weather be like in Como?September in Lake Como is warm during the day (70–80°F) and cooler at night. We suggest a light wrap or jacket for evenings. Also in the case of rain, pack your umbrellas!
